Mrs Rana is the recipient of the Woman of Distinction Award 2016 conferred by the NGO CSW Committee for her dedicated work and contribution to gender equality globally. Mrs Rana is the chair of the board of directors of the Global Network of women Peacebuilders and former Chair of the Global Network of Women Shelters.
Mrs Rana will visit Luxembourg and give a lecture hosted by the University of Luxembourg and Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal (AEIN) in the framework of Kapuczinski development lectures.
For more information about Mrs Bandana Rana and the lecture can be found in the link.
Our secondary students had last week two information sessions about life and culture in Nepal by the AEIN organisation.
It is really a great honour for our school and our secondary students to meet with Mrs Rana and put their questions for her life and her work and share her vision of gender equality.
We are all looking forward to her visit in our school.
