ADMISSIONS
Children can start Preschool the day after they turn 3. They should be potty-trained, and please note that there is no nap time. English or French is not required, as children will develop these languages during their early school years.
Yes, students can join mid-year if space is available. Exceptions apply for students with special needs and certain Secondary year groups.
Siblings of current students are given priority for enrollment and are also eligible for sibling tuition discounts. All other admissions are on a first-come, first-served basis, and all applicants must meet our admission criteria. Please contact Admissions to check availability and application timelines.
For enrollment (except Preschool 1), we request a brief report from any previous school or nursery. For older children, school reports and other relevant documents, such as diagnostic assessments if applicable, are requested to guide the application process.
Once at school, children receive daily exposure to both French and English, helping them build confidence and achieve proficiency in both languages over time.

Students are required to wear the official school uniform and follow the dress code outlined in our internal regulations. Uniforms are required from Monday to Thursday, with Friday being Casual Friday, when the uniform is generally not required. The everyday uniform consists of a white polo shirt and dark blue sweatshirt with the school log, along with any blue trousers.
Students can either order a hot lunch from our external catering service or bring a packed lunch from home. Lunches must be ordered quarterly through an online application.
All students should also bring a healthy snack and a water bottle. We encourage simple, nutritious snacks.
Nut Awareness
OTR is a nut-aware school, aiming to be fully nut-free. Please ensure snacks and lunches do not contain nuts. Nuts are currently available only in the Secondary School vending machines.
Yes, a qualified school nurse is present on site from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM throughout the school day. She also serves as the School Meals Coordinator and oversees students’ dietary needs, including monitoring food allergies.

Yes, the school has sports teams in several disciplines, including volleyball and basketball. We participate in competitions both locally and outside Luxembourg, competing with other international schools. In addition, we participate in LASEP and LASEL as part of our sports curriculum program and competition opportunities.
Beyond these school programs, we offer sports as part of our after-school activities programme, giving students further opportunities to train and develop their skills.
Yes. As a school, we place strong value on building meaningful connections with the local community. Our students are actively involved in service and volunteering initiatives, participating in projects that promote social responsibility, environmental awareness, and community engagement. Through these experiences, students develop empathy, a sense of civic duty, and a deeper understanding of their role both locally and globally.
Our parents organize together as The OTR Parent Community Group (PCG). This group started in the fall of 2025 with a mission of expanding communication amongst parents and between parents and the school. The objectives of our OTR PCG are to help to make information more accessible for parents, welcome and integrate new families into the OTR community, to create an ongoing social community for parents, and to foster volunteer engagement.
The school provides events and opportunities throughout the year for parents to attend exhibitions and shows done by the students. The partnership with the parents continues to grow with expanding opportunities to attend field trips, be part of classroom special activity days, and even share knowledge with interactive lessons. New ideas and opportunities for our parents to collaborate are always welcome!
